About

Oak Knoll Books was founded in 1976 by Bob Fleck, a Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Delaware and University of Virginia, who turned his hobby into a vocation. Bob’s personal collection was used as the starting inventory to produce Oak Knoll’s first catalogue. Since then, the company has earned an international reputation among scholars and librarians searching for both out-of-print and newly published books about books. Oak Knoll also sells books on Delaware and the surrounding areas.

The publishing division, Oak Knoll Press, was founded in 1978 and now publishes about 40 titles a year in the books about books field. Oak Knoll Press is also the exclusive distributor for such prestigious organizations as the American Antiquarian Society, the Bibliographical Society, the Bibliographical Society of America, the Bibliographical Society of the University of Virginia, the Manuscript Society, and many others.

Oak Knoll provides customers with the world’s largest inventory of bibliographies and other books about books. We take pride in keeping track of customer wants and will actively search for hard-to-find titles.
